Rick Piliponis, JD
THE HIGGINS FIRM
Rick Piliponis, JD, is a founding member and principal in The Higgins Firm. He is the lead counsel in the firm’s medical malpractice and nursing home litigation practice. Mr. Piliponis is licensed in Tennessee and Kentucky. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and DePaul University College of Law. He has practiced as an attorney in the Nashville area for 25 years. Mr. Piliponis handles plaintiff’s malpractice and nursing home abuse and neglect cases throughout Tennessee and Kentucky. He is a member of the Tennessee and American Associations for Justice and the Nursing Home Litigation Group. On behalf of the Tennessee Association for Justice, Mr. Piliponis has made multiple appearances before the Tennessee legislature regarding issues of civil justice reform and elder abuse.
Mr. Piliponis has been married to his wife, Heather, for 26 years and they have two children, Emma, 21, and Elise, 18. Emma is a senior at Georgetown University majoring in Spanish and Pre-med. Elise is a senior in High School looking forward to graduation and college while she pursues her acting and singing talents. They are long time members of Indian Lake Peninsula Church where he serves as a Trustee and on the Bylaws committee. He enjoys traveling, spending time with family and, to an obsessive fault, rock climbing.
